Basic recipe for making an egg custard for a standard-sized pie, which takes 30-40 minutes to set properly at 225 degrees Celsius in the oven. You can substitute the cooking cream with a mixture of 50/50 milk and heavy cream, or just use milk for a lighter pie. Keep in mind that the amount of salt and pepper will depend on the other fillings you choose for the pie!
