Begin by mixing the marinade with soy sauce, grated ginger, cooking oil, finely chopped or crushed garlic, honey, and squeezed lemon juice. Then, prepare the salmon by patting it dry with paper towels; the skin can be left on. (Alternatively, use thawed salmon fillet portions.) Next, grease an ovenproof dish and place the salmon in it, pour over the marinade, and turn the salmon a few times to ensure it is fully coated.

Bake the salmon in the oven for about 7-9 minutes depending on the thickness of the fillet; thicker fillets may take a bit longer than thinner ones. Try gently cutting into the thickest part to ensure that the salmon is not raw in the middle. The salmon flesh should lighten and flake easily when it is done.
Remove the salmon from the oven and feel free to pour the marinade over the salmon after taking it out. Let it stand for a minute before serving. The teriyaki sauce can be used as a flavor enhancer for the side dishes on the plate, but taste it first to make sure it's not too salty. Done!
